This inspection will help us to verify IF the equipment that was actually installed matches, or exceeds, the Energy Efficiency Rating of the equipment called for on the approved plans or contract. It is very common to find that different equipment WAS installed compared to what was called for originally. Many times this was just due to a sale that the contractor came across after signing the contract ( which may be fine )….or for “other “ reasons.
By visually inspecting and identifying the various HVAC components and comparing their manufactures specifications ( along with our calculations matrix ) with what was promised, we can assure you that you got what you paid for. i.E. ARE (?) the installed units capable of producing the same EER values as what was promised ??? Furthermore, DO they also at least match the State’s minimum EER mandates? |
